Routing & cables

Sources, tracks, outputs — and the cables in between.

Cards and cables

Every source (app, microphone, system audio), every filter and every output is a card. Cables connect them — what you see is exactly the signal flow. Drag cables from port to port; a click on a cable shows details, level (0–200 %) and the mute switch.

Three views

In the top right you switch between vertical cable flow, horizontal cable flow and the matrix crossbar. All three show the same state — a click in the matrix is the same as dragging a cable in the flow.

Tracks (channel pairs)

Every virtual device has up to 8 stereo tracks (channel pairs) you can name freely — OBS and DAWs see them as separate channels. Mic, game and music land cleanly separated in your recording.

Inserting filters

Hover over a cable and click the plus: the new filter splices itself into the connection. Remove it later and the connection stays — live, with no gap in the audio.

Monitoring

Every track can be routed in parallel to headphones or another output — with its own level. Preview the stream mix while the speakers play something else.

Multi-output & AirPlay

Output groups bundle several outputs into a real multi-output device (selectable as system output too). NoicePatch finds AirPlay targets on your network automatically.
