Getting started
Installation
Download the DMG, drag NoicePatch into your Applications folder and launch the app. App and driver are notarized by Apple — no security warning appears.
The audio driver
On first launch, NoicePatch offers to install its audio driver. The driver provides the virtual devices (up to 16 channels each) and is copied to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL — macOS asks once for your administrator password, then the audio system briefly restarts. Without the driver, no patch can run.
Driver status at a glance
A badge in the top left of the title bar shows the driver state: green = running, yellow = installed but not loaded (a click restarts the audio system) or a newer driver version is ready (a click updates), red = not installed (a click installs).
Your first device
Click “New virtual device” in the bottom left. The device appears in the sidebar and instantly system-wide — in OBS, Zoom or System Settings. The power button starts it; the guided tour (Help → Guided Tour) walks you through every control right in the app.
Free trial
Without a license, the full app runs as a 7-day trial: enter your email address in the settings, the trial key arrives by mail, activate — done. From three days before the end, the app shows the remaining time permanently; after the trial, audible noise mixes into the outputs until a license is activated. Restarting the app doesn't change that. The license unlocks it permanently.
